Name A Seat

Over the summer of 2012 the Playhouse upgraded its primary theater and reception areas. This included the installation of new individual seats to replace our old church pews. A Name-A-Seat Sponsorship Program has been created to help generate funds to support the installation of these seats and to help us with other needed capital improvements.

The Name-A-Seat Sponsorship Program offers you a unique opportunity to create a permanent legacy and become a part of the history of the Flagler Playhouse. You may sponsor one of these seats at the $500 or $200 levels depending on location. Your tax-deductible donation to this program will help to support our capital funds campaign.

Specific seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, although preference will be given to season ticket holders. A sponsored seat will be identified with a brass nameplate mounted on the back of the seat. The name of the donor, a friend or family member, an organization, business, or a special occasion may be engraved on the nameplate, which will accomodate up to three lines of text (including the name).

Your message can include a sentiment of your choice such as "In Memory of", "In Honor of", "In Loving Memory of", or other message. The Flagler Playhouse reserves the right to edit messages for appropriateness.

When choosing a seat you may want to consider that the nameplate will be mounted on the rear of the seat. If you have a seat you usually sit in such as D101 you may choose to have the message appear either on the back of that seat or purchase the seat in front (ie: C101) so that you can see the message when you attend the theater and sit in seat D101.

In addition to the brass nameplate permanently mounted on the back of the seat, a wood plaque will be placed in the theater lobby with a listing of all seat sponsors by location and level of giving. We will also have a listing on our website of those who have sponsored a seat. This listing will appear on our website for three years.

Levels of Seat Sponsorship and Locations:            

          Producer - $500 - Center Rows A101 to A109 and B101 to B109

          Director  - $200 - All other seats

Seat sponsorship does not mean that seat will be reserved for the sponsor for a particular show performance. You will still need to purchase your show seat for each performance in accordance with our normal procedures.
