Flagler Playhouse, 301 E Moody Blvd, Bunnell, will be holding open auditions for the circus musical “Barnum” on Sunday, January 22nd and Monday, January 23rd at 6:30 pm. Director/Choreographer is Terri Williams with Musical Direction by Jens Oliva. Auditions are open to anyone 14 years or older. Show dates are April 21st through May 7th.

Circus forms a big part of the spectacle of ‘Barnum’ but at its heart this is a musical. We want to see you give your best performance, whether this is as a singer, actor, dancer or circus performer. For those of you with no circus skills – don’t despair, we will need an assortment of singers, actors and dancers for this to be a well-rounded performance. For those of you with circus skills but no musical or dance experience – don’t despair either! Just like any big top show we can play to your strengths and help you to expand your talents in new areas.

Please come prepared with a one-minute vocal selection which shows your range and ability. All accompaniment should be from your phone. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. All auditioners will also participate in a group movement audition, so dress accordingly. If you have any special skills (juggling, gymnastics, roller skating, etc.) please be prepared to share these skills as well. Cold readings will be done from the script for those interested in speaking roles.
